Bought a completed RV-12 with color coded, plug in fuses on the front of the instrument panel as seen on most 12s. I had to replace one 3 amp fuse from the rack of spares inside my glove box. I'd like to buy a replacement spare but can't find a source -- not even Spruce. And, btw, what does one call this type fuse?
You want ATO or ATC lighted fuses. The "O" stands for open. The "C" stands for closed.
If your local auto parts store does not sell the lighted fuses, Vans Aircraft does.
Van's Part number for 3 amp ATC fuse that lights when blown: ES-00203
Yes, but you really want to replace with the lighted fuses as originally supplied by Vans. Fuse illuminates internal LED to indicate "open". This is very good safety feature and should be adhered to....
