RV12is Empennage Kit - What's it worth to sell

I bought the RV12is empennage kit about 4 years ago and due to medical reasons, I have not been able to build it. I don't see me being able to build it in the future either. So, I am seriously considering selling it and was wondering what is it worth? I only started a couple of the first few items in the build and everything is complete & new. I even got the fiberglass caps for the stabilator and rudder. All misc parts are organized and labeled in plastic containers that I bought from Harbor Freight. I think I might keep the tools I bought from Cleveland Tools (RV12 tool kit) but I am willing to negotiate selling those as well.

So, bottom line, what is it worth to sell it. I am in the central Ohio area.

A new tail kit from Van's should cost about $5000 with the fastener kit and stabilator tips.

That said: there have been several improvements in the tail kit in the past 4 years (e.g. F-1211G as fully machined and anodized). SB for re-enforcing clips, SB for counter-balance, SB for hinge spacers.

Also, Van's now only has a 1 month lead time on RV-12iS tail kits.

I would think you can sell it for $2500 to $4000 depending on location and how quickly you want to get rid of it.

Thanks for that input. I need to go back and look at my invoice to see what I had to pay for it. I think I want to sell it ... so look for a new post in the For Sale section soon.
