Smile RV-7 Move to the airport 140km away

Getting ready to load onto trailer

Loaded and ready for the next morning

On the Car Ferry at Berrowra Waters, it was the Ferry Masters first Aircraft, it got written into his log :-)

On the freeway heading up to the Hunter Valley

Only 40km to go to the airport after this turn off

Entering the town of Cessnock in the Hunter Valley

Airport restaurant, really close now

Made it to the Hangar in one piece

In the Hangar

Wings on!!!

I did this over two days, lots of driving but glad it all got there safely

Now probasbly another two weeks setting it all up :-)

Cheers
Eddie

Wow! That was quite a trip.
It's a beautiful looking airplane.

Best of luck with your phase 1. Now the fun begins.

Very neat!! Was the prop windmilling during the move? Every single picture shows it in a different position.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments.

I plan to use that car ferry for all my over water crossings :-)

Lots of things to do now to prepare for the issue of the initial CofA

The prop did move a little, about 180 degrees for the entire trip.

We were driving fairly slowly 90kmph so there was just enough air on occasions to move it ever so slightly.

Cheers
Eddie

Your trailer looks a lot like the one I have for my Europa.

Going flying on the weekend takes on a new meaning when you have to drive 1.5 hours each way.

Crazy, but if you feel the need then what choice do you have.

Cheers
