Garmin GPSMAP 695/696 testing menus?

Hi,

I now have 2 695, and I love the device, despite it being a 10 years + old design. I love the screen luminosity, I love the buttons / menus. I prefer this as when in very turbulent flying, buttons are better then touch screen in my opinion.

However, as device is aging, battery suffers. There is a test menu that a proper key sequence can enable.

does anyone knows that key sequence, or how to get into this menu? I see a battery tab, and would be eager to get there, and undestand if we can get meaningfull info about the battery health! See pict for the menu I talk about

The battery menu I was looking for. Let's see if after changing the insert we can "recalibrate". Full discharge, power up without the battery, then go in the battery menu and insert the battery. Will see!

easy

Buy new cells for the old battery pack. It is easy...
If you can't do it.... I will gladly do it for free.
Just cover postage.... Mine is running strong now. I love the buttons.
Touch screens are a sea of fingerprints in most cockpits I have seen....

Yep, i will do! I posted on an other thread that battery pack for NIBP730 medical monitor are the same. 40$... Same thermistor.

But at least I see in which conditions my cells are!
