Wow! Impressive mods that you created! Do you have any info you can share about the tail push tube? Where did you get the parts or how did you make it? Also what do the wingtip lockers look like inside?

Look at most of the heavier Cessna taildraggers (180/185, etc). They will usually have pull tubes installed in the aft fuselage. Earlier airframes used an STC, the later ones came with them from the factory.

They are *extremely* helpful in a 185. Probably less so on an RV, but I’m surprised they aren’t more common.

Yes, I know how nice they are.. I had one on the L-19 Birddog.. it was handy. I was curious if he repurposed one from a Cessna ($$$)? Or built his own?

The wing locker is on both wingtips and stores all the nasty stuff I don't want in the baggage area. Just cut a hole and viola' there is was...
BUT, airloads kept lifting the fiberglass section I cut out.
had to go to .050 Al. spent tons of time forming and shaping to get a good contour fit.
Well worth the effort. I would do it again.

I bonded trunk carpet on the interior. I little piece of loop from velcro holds everything in place.
