South Carolina Aviation Medallion

Just another heads up for the RV'ers in the Southeast. I just delivered the Medallion today to the South Carolina Aviation Association in Columbia. They will sponsor the medallion going forward and make it a part of their program to support, promote, and celebrate aviation in South Carolina and the greater Southeast.

The medallion continues its flights around the state and region and can be tracked at www.scavmedallion.com. The Medallion's logbook shows about 40 or so flights now including formation Stearmans, a young lady's first solo, the paradrop of Army soldiers from a C-17 and a host of other fascinating flights. The SCAA will manage the Medallion in the future and if you are a S.C. pilot, you need to track it down and get it on your airplane so you can log in too. The plan is for whoever has it on a South Carolina Breakfast Club Sunday to ensure if at all possible, that it gets to Breakfast Club. Great way to keep it moving in the company of certified South Carolina aviation enthusiasts.

Track it down, fly it, log it, and make sure the batteries are in good condition so others can enjoy tracking it as well.

Clear skies...
