Best way to cut static line?

How are most cutting the Safe Air static line/tube to keep the end square with no burrs?

From Stein Air. Must be available elsewhere. Works beautifully....

I don't have the Safe Air kit. But, for cutting 1/4" plastic tubing used for pitot-static lines, I use the Stein Air Plastic Tubing Cutter, Part No. P-510. Look in the Pitot-Static section of their website.

I used a tubing cutter but a plain old strait razor blade works just fine.

Single edged razor blades (utility style) work great, and the price is right.

I had handy a PVC cutting tool that gave me clean straight cuts.

+3 Cuts quick, square and throw it in the box, no alignment issues at all.

I've got the Stein cutter, but wen I can't find it - the razor blades work great!

Will the metal tube cutter work with the cutting wheel that you rotate around the tube then tighten with a screw?

No it won't. Just use the razor blade while you wait for the Stein unit.

I used a Sears Handi-cut tool. Basically just a fancy way to hold a single edge razor against a flat surface.

From Lowes...

I got one of these…Have used it for the pitot/static system and several other times like cutting fuel hoses and vinyl tubing for Manifold Air Pressure plumbing.

Unlike the HandiCut tool, this one is designed for tubular objects, and doesn't smash the tubing so much.

Ditto for me as well. I use them at home and work for cutting plastic tubing. Slices like butter.
