Rear spar parts priming

The instructions make it sound like the rear spar parts should be primed but they are all Alclad.

W-707D rear spar doubler, W-707G Reinforcement fork etc.

Am I correct in assuming that priming is not required?

Without trying to open up Pandora's box, you are correct. As I recall, Van's is telling you to prime it now if you're going to prime. To quote Mr. Gump, "That's all I got to say about that."

Thanks Dave. That's what I thought.

I did send the question to Vans and they said that most guys would prime because the cut edge of the parts is so thick and that is not Alclad.

So, I guess I will prime...

Maybe I will get some Alodine and give that method a go.
