Reconditioned Lifters

I have about three engines worth of cam, lifter, plungers and caps here. I was looking at sending them back to Aircraft Specialties for overhaul. I'm wondering what the consensus is?

On the one hand I figure any cam or lifter that has gone 2,000 hours without spalling is well proven, but I know a lot of engine shops won't use them. Have people had good experiences with these parts?

Worst case AS will buy the parts from me and sell them to someone else. That's better than throwing them in the bin.
