There are actually a lot of different LORD mount part numbers and designs, so before I followed the procedures in the book for another aircraft, I’d see which specific LORD mounts it uses, and how those relate to what you have on your specific aircraft.
The LORD mount used most commonly in our Dynafocal RV mounts have a “hard” donut and a “soft” donut, and you mount them differently depending if they are on the top or the bottom. But the “hard” ones are always mounted in compression and the “soft” ones on the tension side - so I don’t know what rotating them would do for you, unless you have some left to right wear that needs to be evened out.
The bottom line in my book is that I have never rotated them - I might be the only one - and have never had any issues. I generally replace them at engine overhaul, simply because that’s when the engine is off!
