G3X wasn’t broken but I thought it was

Flying around Utah the advisory frequencies are the same for a lot of airports. Left one airport to hop over the mountain to another, pulled up the freq for the next waypoint and selected it to com. I kept hitting the active to swap freqs and couldn’t get the visual of them swapping. I thought it must be broken from the heat or who knows what.

Turned out it was just the same frequency. Funny thing is the stby had the description of the next airport and the active was described for the one behind me. You would think they could be flopped; but because the frequency was the same the G3X just regarded my attempts with apathy.

The G3X conveniently labels frequencies but the labels are just for show. The switching logic checks to see if the stby frequency is actually different. I’m very glad it wasn’t broken but I never ran into this situation till I went West.
