Took my 7th flight this morning and immediately noticed a 1/4" gap opening up along the sides of my tip-up canopy. Landed and closed the side latches.....oops. As soon as I was in the air again the gaps opened back up and again I landed, I stayed slow but it's really hard to stay below 100mph. After landing I went back to the hangar for a better look and found the l/h latch had broken the weld and completely come off. I will order a new piece but will weld the other one back on too.
So just wondering if anybody else has run into this......it did get my heart racing a bit but I think it was adjusted just fine. Snug but not too tight.
