Default Slider Canopy Handle Cover/Fairing

Certainly good for 0.1 mph vs. the stock blunt fronted handle. Snaps on (loosely). I retained it with a dab of RTV. Fits my 6A handle, I think should be identical for the 7 / 7A sliders too.

pretty nice. the trailing handle taper is where the losses originate. the stock handle is not too bad since it is tapered. the rounded leading edge may buy you a little but as you say not much.

Searching around, looks like NASA quotes a "prism" as Cd of 1.14 (no dimensions given, but appears to be about 2x longer than wide). Whereas a streamlined airfoil is much less.

Default salt shaker stopper

my wife is a good cook and she gets attached to cookware... even a salt shaker with history. so after 20 yrs the red rubber stopper was failing. answer: a urethane stopper. a quick job. this is definitely RV related because without this I would go hungry and would not be able to fly. she is very happy about this, bonus points. both mother and daughter performed a functional test and it passed. we keep our house thermostat set to 18C (64F), all the heat comes from the kitchen. wishing you a Merry Christmas.

Default air dam - increased height

increasing the height of these air dams for testing. I cannot fit these to an RV9 because they are too tall. balloons on a plate.

RV9 = 2.4 inches tall, proven design
RVXX = 3.0 inches tall, unproven design but looks OK by analysis

Default funnel

thinking about a funnel with an anti splash lip and simple filter. I think I'll curve the seat to the wing profile.

Default printing for GPS Dock 1

the beginnings of another iFly GPS dock. they just seem to appear overnight and made to custom dimensions. these docks will far out last the GPS.
