Push pin like on a tent leg

You have seen them on sliding tubes. It locks the tube in a set position. It?s that little silver button u push with your thumb and you can pull the tube halves apart. The piece looks like 2? V shape and one end has a silver button. This slides up into the smaller tube then the holes in the larger tube lock in. Iam making a adjustable tube for the baggage area as a hold down brace.thanks. Anyone know where to buy them? Thanks much appreciated

Pool supply places have something like that. They are used to lock in the interchangeable tools that go on the end of the long handles for leaf rakes, brushes, etc.

The one I thinking are plastic and have bottons on both ends of the ?V?

They're called snap buttons or button clips.

Lowe's has them in plastic, used on poles for swimming pools.

Granger has them in metal...

Everyone needs a McMaster Carr account, like we say at work "if McMaster don't have it, they probably don't make it"

Thanks guys. I’ll let you know where I got them. Seems the bar idea works pretty well at securing in the baggage area.

Thanks
