Small Steam Cleaner

Any experience with a small (hobby size) steam cleaner for cleaning of oily engines?

No joy on forum search.

I've found some from a Google search - but don't really know if they will work for what I need?

I researched this in the past and found for the cost it was better to just buy cans of non-chlorinated brake cleaner to wash things down with. Good steam cleaners are not cheap if you want one that will actually work. And they don't get where you want to always. I actually sold mine cause of lack of use. It was not small though.
