cabin heat muff

There is also a short round section of aluminum (4-5" long) inside the scat tube at the front baffle to prevent the scat from rattling around and hitting the exhaust. Second picture shows heat shield installed from antisplataero. The setup has been working wonderfully with no rubbing or chaffing. Be prepared though, the single heat muff on the -7 isn't sufficient below about 20F. I'll be looking to add a second sometime.

Here's another way to skin this cat. For the hose that brings warm air to the cabin, I tucked it behind the intake pipes:



Added a little red RTV to mitigate chafing on the CHT sensor:
