Does Garmin Aera 660 work on Aera 510 mount?

That’s pretty much it!

I’m thinking of getting a Garman 660, and would like to not have to rewire my panel hardwire mount for the 510.

Anybody know?

Thanks

No! The 660 will not use the 510 mount.

Simple is better

Yup,

I'm thinking if Garmin made it simple then maybe they would have more sales. Making upgrades more difficult and complicated will turn some people off.

Having replaced an Aera 500 with an Aera 660, it really wasn't hard to swap the cable. Snip the old wires one at a time and crimp the new wires in place. The colours were even a match from the old cable to the new one.

Correct. It's not a difficult swap. But it is not "plug-n-play".

I did this swap in my Legend Cub.
