Lycoming YIO-540 delivery delay

Good day,

I ordered my engine through Van's in February with a June estimated delivery date. We are now running 2 months behind and Lycoming is unable to give me a new estimated delivery date due to "lacks of sumps from their vendors".

Just wondering If other builders are also in this situation...

Placed my order for a 540 in June of 2021 through Aerosport in Kamloops BC. He has 50 lycomings of various models on order and lycoming is saying suppliers are causing the delays. Who knows when things will get back to normal …if ever
