Blind Rivets in Engine Mount Brackets

Just curious... Anyone know why the plans call for a mixture of solid and blind rivets fastening the engine mount brackets to the longerons? Why not just use all solid rivets?

Because when properly installed, the structural rated Cherry max rivet has a higher load rating than the solid AN470 rivet does.

They were chosen for specific structural reasons at these specific rivet locations.

Thanks, Scott. Didn't realize that the Cherry max rivets were actually stronger than solid rivets.
