I need your trip planning help

My wife and I are wishing to fly our 9A from southern Arizona to Omaha, Nebraska in May. We normally make two-hour legs or less, because I have a two-hour bladder. Has anyone made a similar journey, and are there areas to avoid in this trip?
Thanks, very much for any input.

I trained at KOMA, but that was 50 years ago. I do fly into Millard KMLE fairly often (from the northeast, however). Flight Following will help you out but it's a very straightforward approach to the airport even if you have to come in from the southeast under the Class C shelf of KOMA. The floor is at 2500 ft, same as pattern altitude.
