Photos of Canopy

Anybody have any photos of where their forward edge of the sliding canopy meets the windshield fairing(? don't know what it is called). Mine was blended in to the fuselage with filler and the filler has cracked. Just wondering if there was a better solution in blending in that piece. I need to do a little painting and now would be a good time to fix or modify it. I am guessing that it is a builder option on how it is done.

thx

For what it's worth...

Here's a shot of mine, under the peel ply...

There's quite a number of layers of glass, each one ending with a black line...

The thickest is at the back of the lay-up.

Final fairing was done with Super Fill

So far no cracks...

Check my build log at the link below I have some pics, I made the overlap fairing using carbon fiber strip about 2 1/2 in wide and one piece length all the way down to fuse and faired into fuse..I used only epoxy fiberglass for the bonding and for finish and filling to blend I used the same epoxy glass mixed with microballons, available at aircraft spruce. If you need to thicken the epoxy more for fairing in just add more microballons.
