Anyone that follows my blog knows I love home brew tools.
Here's the latest addition to the modified tool collection.
The nut on the engine side of the motor mount is almost impossible to get a wrench on. No way to torque from that side either. This or a similarly modified wrench is a necessity.
Go to a Pawn Shop. They always have a bucket of sockets and wrenches. Buy popular airplane size sockets and combination wrenches. Last batch was $.25 each. Combination wrenches allow both ends to be modified as needed.
This one (5/8") was ground thinner around the outside, thinner in deptg, plus a little extra thinning at the end. The extra is to get it back out once everything is torqued. That's how tight the fit between the nut, bolt end and pushrod tube!
