Securing Fuel Sender Wiring to Fuel Pickup Tube

tx_jayhawk

Well Known Member
I have my float wiring running through a small (separate) hole in the fuel pickup tube grommet. Is it considered acceptable to secure that wire to the pickup tube before it connects to the floats?

I am assuming one would not want to tie wrap direct to the pickup tube, I was thinking of putting a small strip of silicone tape around the tube then around the wire to secure it.

Thanks,
Scott

Electrical wiring of any kind should never be secured directly to a fuel line.

Cut a short pc of plastic tubing and pass the wire through the tube where it would come in contact with the Fuel pick up line. You can then secure the tubing to the fuel pickup line.
