Once again, Job well done. Handsome looking dog too by the way. I got a kick out of "dog is my co-pilot." Keep up the good work. By the way, we were having a picnic at KANE last night and we watched you arrive on 36. The kids were jumping up and down saying "There is PETE OWELL!!"

Thanks Pete. As others have mentioned, the stories are emotional. After losing my dog a little over a year ago, I really want another. But my work schedule is not fair to a pet. When I'm done working, I'll get another dog. In the meantime, I'll enjoy your stories and cherish the memories of my dog.

Vet Update
From the rescue coordinators.........
Suge will have to undergo 2 surgeries. His bone injuries are extensive. As well as the open wound. Dr. Scanlan is putting together a plan, and we will go from there.
Later in the day.........
Suge endured 2 broken back legs.  The one he has weight bearing so there is a 50/50 chance he will have to have surgery on it in 4-6 weeks. Femoral Head Resection on the leg that was broken mid shaft as well as a pin. Pelvic fracture will be watched, probably will heal itself. Surgery was 3 1/2 hours long and he will stay at Otter Lake for his full recovery.

Good job, Pete. I had a pilot tell me the other day he didn't want to mess up his airplane interior by flying a dog. 
I've flown about 10 dogs so far and haven't had a problem with a single one.
Keep up the good work. Because of your first flight, many of us in the VAF forums are now PnP pilots. Hope to meet you someday.

Must be a good feeling Pete!! Great job! Still looking to take you up on the offer of a hangar and/or lodging if I ever make it to Minn.
BTW, the offer is reciprocal in NJ (Philadelphia) if you ever make it out here.
