First time alumiprep/alodine - residue?

Typically I have been scuffing, acetoning, and spraying AKZO, but I am installing an antenna doubler so I taped off and left bare the alclad where I have drilled for the doubler. I used Alumiprep 33 and alodine 1001 (clear, for electric conductivity). First time using both. I followed all relevant instructions. I am seeing some white residue on the AKZO next to the area alodined as well as on the bare alclad on the backside of the sheet around the holes where some of the chemical passed through the holes to the other side of the dimpled holes. This is with the brush on method (doublers were immersed). Is this due to the alumiprep not being rinsed properly (I did rinse before it dried, but maybe some dried?). Should I re-wet with alumiprep and repeat the process? Or should I not worry about it?
