Hello

I am planning my Avionics sub panel lay out for the Garmin 3GX LRUS

Has anyone got any pictures of the sub panel to how they positioned the the LRUS etc.
I need to plan the wiring harness

thanks

Are you installing the forward access panels that Vans just released? Those really open up some options.

Thanks Ron appreciate the Links... although looking through i cannot see where you installed the GMU11 and the GSU25

The GMU 11 is mounted in the left wing. I used Van's ADAHRS mount which was intended for the GMU 22. But with a few mods it worked out well. https://ronslosberg.com/2019/07/29/started-riveting-the-bottom-skins/

The wiring in the Van's Harness is set up for the GMU 22 as well. It does not accommodate the can bus connection, so I had to repurpose some of the wires from the tail to extend the can bus into the left wing and then from there to the panel. You can see that in this post... https://ronslosberg.com/2020/01/11/began-work-on-common-fuselage-harness-section-55/

You can also check the can bus tab on my wiring sheet to see the order of the can bus connections. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1neVwJXVHdvU57iGLExUtuzEs9cZ8vCLP8FXYFI7kolc/edit?usp=sharing

The GSU 25 mounts to the back of the GDU 460. I haven't wired that yet.

send me a PM and I will send you pictures of how my panel and sub panel is laid out. I have almost everything on the left side.

you can see a picture of my main panel on the Stein Air website. 73XP--it has a carbon fiber panel.

Maybe I will post to my FB page.
