How do I correct this Altimeter

How do I correct this Altimeter? It reads 40K setting on the ground at 565 MSL. I have found the directions for adjusting the Kollsman window but that doesn't cover adjusting the Altitude needles. Falcon ALT20INF-3N, Thanks David

Something up with your pitot system? Did it just suddenly do this?

Nope, been that way since I bought the plane. Works great... other than being 40,000 feet off.

It can be corrected legally only by a certified instrument shop.

A little snip with the diagonal cutters? And then your story is: I have no idea where that little white pointer went....

...Just be sure to always use O2 and everything should be OK!
Question; what is true airspeed corrected?

Okay, looks like replacement time. I have posted a WTB ad, so if you have one collecting dust in the hangar here's you chance to sell it. 3-1/8" hole. Thanks David
