Fuel pump/primer troubleshooting

On my 7a I have a fuel primer and pump on one switch. I think it?s called a momentary switch. Sometimes the primer gets stucks on or that what it sounds like and the engine stumbles. The pump is louder when I have the primer on. Anyone else have this kind of problem?
