My SL-40 antenna is mounted ahead of the pilot brakes on the floor and has loosened enough 3 times that I think I am t am transmitting but cannot receive, nor am I actually transmitting. Since I can't reach the connector in flight, I would like to secure it better. Any suggestions?

I presume it's a BNC connector.
These should have a positive lock, so perhaps it wasn't quite pushed down hard enough at the last bit of twist was applied when mating.
You should be able to see the antenna 'lock pin' in the end of he cable connector 'slot'
If it's not locking, there are only two parts that can be bad.
Replace the connector on the cable first.
