Updating GRT EFIS WS

I have tried to update my GRT Horizon WS EFIS and keep getting a Checksum Directory not found message. I download it to my screen, extract all and when I copy it to disk, it stays in a file folder. Any help for a Marine that likes pictures?

It would be best to copy the update file to the root directory and not a folder. You should be able to easily move it with Windows Explorer by dragging and dropping it to the root directory (e.g. E:\). I believe there is also a setting in the GRT to name the directory where the file is located if you can't successfully move the file (it defaults to the root directory).

Always happy to help a veteran. We appreciate your service!

Make sure that your computer does not change the file name. I already had a "HXup.dat" file on my computer, so when I downloaded a new update my computer automatically renamed it "HXup2.dat" and I didn't notice the change. Needless to say, that didn't work. I had to rename it without the "2".
