Frequency Transfer

Which connection allows the frequency transfer to the 650? I added the connext serial port cable on both ends and upgraded the GTN-650 to the latest version this week but the G3X doesn't seem to recognize the 650 as a Comm radio.

Thanks,
Andy

Which connection allows the frequency transfer to the 650?

Hello Andy,

Everything you need to display com radio information from your GTN 650 on your G3X Touch displays is described in the current G3X installation manual (rev V). As is shown in Figure 24-2.13, you will need a bi-directional RS-232 connection between your GTN 650 and a GDU display, which will be configured for "MapMX" on the GDU and "MapMX Format 2" on the GTN. It is likely that you already have this connection in place if you followed earlier wiring guidance. You will then use the Com Radio configuration page as described in section 32.4.21 to associate the appropriate GDU RS-232 port with the on-screen display of com radio information.
