Torque seal lacquer

colors

No, we have several where I work and the color just designates what area the part was sealed in (assembly line, final assembly, flight line, etc). The torque seal formula seems to be the same for any color you use.

I started with green, and it was really difficult to see in the dark (especially on blue fittings). The orange is much better.

Same formula, just different colorants.

At my .civ job, the mechanics use one color, and the QA inspectors use another color. If you don't see two different-colored TQ stripes on a critical item, you know it's not been "bought" by the QA dept.

Tom, you're in my neck of the woods!

I only have one color

It is my wife's sexy red fingernail polish, looks great in any light, even in the dark.:D
