Cowl inside

I'm finishing the cowls. Insides need to be finished before spraying exterior paint. Both have been sealed inside with neat epoxy. It's time to spray some epoxy primer. I have white, gray and black. I'm leaning toward white for less heat absorption, but it will show more gunk. I sprayed the wheels on my 4x4 vehicle with it. They look just like day one and endure snow, salt and all sorts if crud.
I also plan some Vans reflective stuff.

What color did you paint yours and has it been successful?
What would you do differently?

Larry, to me, white is the only serious option, for two reasons.

First, it reflects better and that makes it easier to see things when only the top cowl is off or you're peeking in through the bottom aft area.

Second, because it shows more junk, you're more likely to clean it often.

But it's an individual choice....

Larry, I applied a two part Epoxy Primer (white).
I agree with Dave, it makes junk more apparent and easier to detect if anything is leaking or amiss.
It's very easy to clean, more so with the heat sheild.
