Apollo SL60 GPS/Com Technical Question

The SL60 has the capability to load COM frequencies from its internal data base into the standby frequency side of the COM, similar to the way the SL40 can receive COM data from an external Garmin unit (496, 660, etc).

My question for anyone that might know is could the SL60 receive COM input frequencies from an external Garmin source via the RS232 input pin on the NAV side of the unit? (like the SL40 does)

SL60 Updates?

I would like to know the answer to that question myself.
Speaking of the sl60, does anyone know where to get updates for the sl60?

Yup, me too. Maybe if someone answers your original question, I can figure out how to get my Ifly 720 to talk to it!

I wired up my SL60 from a Garmin portable to the RS232 data in pin on the SL60 to see if I could send VHF freq to the SL60. It does not work. I have an SL40 on the way which will fit into the SL60 tray without any wiring change other than the Data IN pin from the Garmin portable (Aera 660).
