-14A main gear side load

Looking at -14A landing gear pictures that some of you have posted on your blogs, I see that the top of the gear leg is bolted to a bracket near the top of the main spar carry through. Is this the only bolt that holds the leg in place? There's another bracket that cradles the outboard side of the leg along the bottom of the fuselage which would obviously take a significant amount of normal loads with the gear leg bending outward and upward, but on the inboard side there's nothing but the bottom skin? I'm sure Vans has engineered a good design but I can't figure out from looking at it how the gear leg would handle side loads pushing the leg in the inboard direction (which can happen if you touch down with a crab angle in a strong crosswind).

Thanks,

Ok thanks, the pics I had seen elsewhere didn't have the inboard side of the lower bracket installed yet.
