Crimping/pre-bending wing skins

Confused on crimping the edges of thin skins (section 5-5). Are folks crimping the wing skins, or are they not considered “thin”? Thinking of the area where the inboard and outboard skins overlap, but it could apply to most of the edges.

I’ve used an edge rolling tool on some of the other areas, but for some reason did not use it on the left wing skins. Results were still good, but not perfect. However, the results were not perfect with the edge rolling tools either (I’ve tried both the black puck and the vice grip style). Caused me to reread section 5….

Thanks!

Skin break

I used the vice grip tool almost anywhere an enge overlapped or termjnated at a rib. That included the wing skin overlap. It was very little.
There is a scarf joint at the point where the two skins overlap at the tank.
