Easy Garmin CDI Question

I'm cutting a hole for a future Garmin CDI. Does the OBS knob come off and slide through the standard spaced 4th hole or does it have to be notched like an altimeter?

The picture makes me think the knob comes off, just double checking.

Thanks!

no notch required

Jim,
no notch is required for your Garmin CDI, and by the way I have one that is like new for sale, I just removed it to install a Tru-trac EFIS APIV. I would like $1200 for it, have a STEC 20 with matched DG if you have any interest for $1,500

Thanks for the great offer Jerry, I wish I could buy it now.

I just realized my finish kit didn't come with an engine!!!:D

I will buy the CDI if it the one that is 14 volts, does not have a built in VOR/LOC Converter, and has the connector, similiar to the KI-206. I can be reached at 806 535 1019 or at dav1111 at suddenlink dot net.
