Fuslage storage

Outside storage

Wow, now that is a loaded question. The real question is "how long". Time has a way of getting away from us.
I see Minnesota in your heading.
I live in Battle Ground WA. and I would never store it in a
"weatherproof" box outside. Moisture is going to get inside unless you have a dryer system in place to keep the moisture out. I stored my 1991 kit inside a dry shop in the original box and it still got some light corrosion on the skins.
This aluminum is subject to problems form moisture.
The operative word here is "Weatherproof"
If it was sealed and air tight with a dryer system in place and you checked it often, then go for it.
Moisture has a way of going where no man has ever gone before!!! Ha Ha But, true.
But I would never because of the cost of these parts.

My three cents worth Art

Kit, as still in the box and paper?
If so, nope, nope, and nope.
Spring for a climate controlled storage unit if you don't have room inside.
The late, great, Tony Bingelis made the same mistake and had a ton of surface corrosion to deal on his 6A with when he finally opened the box. Stored it in an unheated hangar or garage, I don't remember.
