RV-4 and the Brown Side of the Mountains

Yesterday (9/20/14) was a good day for traveling. Light winds, perfect visibility, so Carl talked me into making a trip to Grangeville ID. The main reason was that I was interested the their war bird gathering in July and wanted to check out the airport.

This trip marked several milestones for me: Farthest East I have been, Longest trip in an airplane (280 miles each way), highest density altitude take-off (5,100' at least highest since I lived in Idaho).
