Baffles

I have an IO-360-M1B with a plenum. I know RTV (Ultra Black) is the solution to all air leaks but not whatbI want for the plenum seal. I'm looking for a material to seal around the plenum flange and up front when it lays down in the #1 & #2 baffles. I was thinking about an automotive foam type seal. I Any ideas?
Please don't say RTV.

Run your RTV bead around the sealing area on the baffles.

Cover with a single layer of saran wrap.

Mount the lid.

When the RTV has set up, remove the lid.

Peel away the saran wrap, trim as needed.

You now have a custom molded RTV gasket.

That's what I had. All sandblasted off. Starting over.

Maybe the Home Improvement store press-on weather strips? If the contact/interface is drawn together versus slide together, this could work. The expansion/compression of the M-D strips (IIRC) is impressive. Trim-able. Cheap. Easily removed if you don’t like it. Just a thought.
