SL30 Faceplate

Anyone know how to replace the SL30 faceplate, bought a new one but when trying to remove the old one only the top clear plastic layer came off and I think the whole faceplate has to be replaced based on the thickness (and price) of the new one.

I paid a shop to do mine but, if you do a search on this, it's apparently pretty easy to do. Lots of VAF members have done so.
