Rainbow in Alaska

Took a new acquaintance for a ride in the RV-8 on Monday. He caught a nice rainbow over the Birchwood Airport, north of Anchorage.

You should submit that to Kitplanes and Aviation Week photo contests. Experimental: RV8 - Life at the end of the Rainbow.

Birchwood Airport in Alaska

Great picture! I kept my RV-6 at Birchwood for 2 years (N934B). Now I'm back down in the lower 48 building an RV-8. I'll take it up that way when I'm finished.

Nice picture indeed. When I flew Alaska for a living, we thought it lucky to even see the sun. (Southeast)
Central Alaska is way more fun. Maybe the magazine will print it !!! Good luck.

I always heard there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I suppose that picture it proof that an RV=a pot of gold. Nice shot.

The physics that creates a rain bow is mind boggling, a double is twice as awesome.
Great picture. I would have called for a visit last month if I had known of you and Birchwood. Was in the Palmer-Wasilla area 10 days.
