The Grand Canyon is also amazing right now. As for how often, the answer is not very often. And snowfall in Northern Arizona is usually followed by clear skies, unlike other places, so when it does snow you can often get beautiful CAVU scenery like that.

Visited Sedona (carrier in the skies...) in some rental spamcan some 15 years ago or so, vividly remember our visit... midst summer, temps in the upper 100s, good thing we booked a convertible, ate some excellent Mexican food with some friends of Tucson AZ

No comparison to your experience, hope to visit the place again
