Primary Flight Instruction

This is probably listed in another thread somewhere, but I couldn't find it...

I am in the process of purchasing an RV. Both my wife and brother are interested in getting their pilot's license, and I was wondering if they can do so legally in my experimental plane? Obviously, I would not be charging for the use of the aircraft, and would even be buying the fuel. Anyone familiar with the rules?

As above, yes, as long as no compensation is involved. However, expect a sizable up-tick in your insurance cost.

And maybe some difficulty finding an instructor willing to give primary instruction in an RV.

Clarification....
As long as no compensation is involved, related to the use of the airplane.
A CFI can be paid for his time for the purpose of giving flight instruction in your RV.
