ACK E-04 5 beeps - High VSWR

Had to upgrade the E-01 to E-04 as I couldn?t find a new battery. The old antenna was installed under the rear fairing so I installed the new one there also. Brand new unit and battery in the ELT. With the fairing off, the self test works fine. Put the composite fairing on and I get 5 beeps.

Has anyone been able to get it to work mounted under the fairing? This is so frustrating.

The E-04 is very finicky. Low battery voltage can cause the 5 beeps and low temperatures can cause low battery voltage. Try warming up your battery pack with a hair dryer and repeating the self-test.
