Recently I was presented with five elevator trim wires running to the cockpit without color coding. So how to know which is which?
Quick call to the Ray Allen folks for guidance. Turns out to be simple when you know what to look for. Here it is for your notes.
Find the pair with 5000 ohms between them, then the one with some lesser continuity to either of the first two. Those three are position. The 5000 ohm pair can be swapped at the position indicator if it reads backwards.
The remaining pair will have no continuity to any of the first three. They are the motor leads, and again, swap them as needed to align switch position with direction.
