Default Wante - Garmin G5 mount ring

Looking for the metal C shaped rear mounting ring for the G5.

Bought a bare unit with a battery as didn't need the harness. not sure how Garmin can sell an instrument with no means of mounting it !!!!

I have a US address, but it would go into a jiffy bag easily.

This is part of the G5 Installation kit, PN 010-12493-10. Runs about $60 from Garmin directly, maybe cheaper elsewhere. But also comes with the dsub connector.

I also found it surprising that at least the ring itself isn’t part of the core G5 package, as how else could you mount it? I suppose you could use the diagrams and layout the top pin hole and the bottom 3/32 screw hole exactly right, but that won’t work very well if you already have an old instrument hole. In the end, faster (and therefore cheaper) to just pay…

It seems likely that they probably recognize that many customers prefer to be able to complete their wiring harness and provision their panel for mounting their avionics prior to actually receiving the equipment.

Default Stein

If you’re looking for the ring part only, give us a ring (SteinAir) we have a few on the shelf!

Otherwise, like the previous post mentioned, this part comes in the connector/install kit.
