Beringer Master Cylinder High Spring Rates

Hi folks,

I am guessing some of you may have noticed that the return spring rates on the Beringer master cylinders is quite a bit higher than Grove and others.

The calculate out to me to be about 2N/mm. I have rocker toe brakes so can manually return movements.

Has anyone looked at fitting lower rate springs to improve progression and reduce overall pedal loads? If so what rate did you settle on?

I ended up getting a few spring sets made with varying rates and settled on 87mm free length, 1.6mm wire, 6 working coils, ground, closed compression springs. This translated to about 38% of the standard spring rates and preload, better feel, more intuitive progression and slightly more overall braking power for the same pedal loads. Brake dragging is more of a geometry issue on my set up at least which I can adjust for. HTH anyone looking to try something similar.
