Torque wrench cal

Hi Mike,
I use this method myself, but:
1. I put a scrap, double nutted bolt in the vice, and use a socket. I don’t want to mar the fitting on the torque wrench.
2. I include a correction for the torque applied by the weight of the handle. Rotate the wrench 180 deg, counter clockwise. If you then let go, it will rachet down, so don’t let go. Attach a fish scale to the handle, hold the scale to keep the handle horizontal, read the pounds. Add this number to your calibration, e.g. if the fish scale read 1 pound, then when you hang your 20 lb weight, use 21 lbs in the calculation for torque.
