Good afternoon Justin,
I'm hoping this message gets to you. I am lost in the data.
I have dual G5’s and a Garmin 295.
I would like to connect the 295 to the G5’s.
As I understand it: The 295 has only NMEA 0183 at 4800 Baud.
The G5’s under the old Software can only connect to an RS232 at 9600 Baud. Am I correct so far?
Does the NEW (Current) Software allow the G5’s to connect using NMEA 0183 at 4800 Baud?
And when setting up the G5’s I should use ‘Stand Alone’ mode and ‘MAPM’; is that correct?
